I'm looking for a certain haiku about kusarigama. "Chain embraces a tree..."
I want to know what does it look like in the original.
It was translated into russian: Цепь охватила ствол и моментально ударил благороднейший клинок Мастерство господин показал. From russian to english it's like: Chain embraced a trunk and immediately The noblest blade has struck The master demonstrated his skills |
As there can be more than billion HAIKUs in Japan, it is very difficult to find one HAIKU you mentioned. Do you have any other additional information?

”宮本武蔵:MIYAMOTO, MUSASHI" once fought with "宍戸梅軒:SHISHIDO, BAIKEN" who utilizes chained sickle. This is famous episode. You can find these kind of drawings.
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DqVMhVXU...jpg&name=small I did not find original HAIKU you mentioned yet. Two names above and "鎖鎌:KUSARI-GAMA;chained sickle" will guide you to the answer. |
Thank you. I'll try it.

”MIYAMOTO, MUSASHI" had really lived 1584 to 1645 and there are some real recorded history.
On the other hand, "YOSHIKAWA, EIJI" wrote "MIYAMOTO, MUSASHI" as his novel. "SHISHIDO, BAIKEN" is a character created by YOSHIKAWA. You could find the HAIKU in YOSHIKAWA's novel. |
