He's so funny but the actions he make are sometimes disgusting.

To be fair I've not seen "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" only because Jim Carrey was in it. I really liked the "Science Of Sleep" which had the same director and because that's so good I guess I'll give Sunshine a go too.

I stand by my remarks on the Truman Show and Batman though, I guess it's just a matter of opinion

I remember watching it in cinema with a bunch of people. we all got confused a little. i guess the fact that we were talking from time to time didn't... none the less. i feel a little stupid now, so i'm gonna go watch it again and make sure i understand. lol:D

lol funnily enough I watched it at the Vue in Leicester Square the first time. I didn't think it was good at first, till I started to understand it :D

I can't help but agree with you... well not fully, but I get the point you're making. The thing is roles are made to fit him and not the other way around, so he always plays the same character and that is what's made him who he is now, that's what we wanna see when we watch one of his movies, it's his never-changing acting skills, because Jim Carrey would't quite be Jim Carrey if he wasn't playing the role of the funny guy. However, as Noodle and Ivionkey remarked, he has shown he can play other roles besides the one that's made him famous and known all over the world. Now it is time for me to confess... :o I have not seen Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, its plot didn't catch my interest and soon enough it'll be on the tv, so it can wait; as for The Number 23 I have no one to watch it with because everyone I know who's a fan of Jim Carrey refuse to watch it cause they think the perception they have of him may be damaged or something xDDDDDD They're not interested in knowing Jim Carrey's serious side and they want to regard him as the funny, silly guy because that's what he is labeled as. Hopefully I'll get to watch it by the end of the month =) even sooner if I get lucky.

Has anyone seen The Cable Guy? lol that movie was awsome, very simple but... funny as heck.

Being typecast sucks and I think he's been more typecast than a lot of people. The Cable Guy was good, mostly cos it was so dark lol.

Obviously u ppl r mad!! A GOD I think NOT but a pretty damn funny guy I think SO. I think idiocracy was a part of his childhood, lol. 1 of his 1st funny gigs he did when he first debut was with the Wayans family who helped kicked his career off (surely Suki knows this??!!!) as Fire Marshall Bill & Vera the Arobics instructor chick, with many other characters he played. & I loved the SNL skit he did with Farrell & that other guy from "A Night At The Roxbury", I think that head boppin' dance was sooo funny bac then:D I don't think he did a bad job as The Riddler either in Batman, seeing as how the riddler was a crazy riddling idiot anyway!! lol & wat about "Fun With Dick & Jane"?? It was stupid yes but still funny as hell.:vsign:
