from osaka to nagoya by Seishun 18
hi i like to go to nagoya by Seishun 18 Kippu, anyone know how to get there from osaka?
1which jr line from osaka? 2where to transfer? 3how long it takes? |
i can't remember the platform so don't shoot me for that.. but you want the kyoto/maibara line. take the trains going all the way to maibara (米原)
Maibara is still in Shiga Ken and takes 1hr 20 or so from Osaka. You can get rapid trains, they work on that ticket. then from maibara you need to take the train to nagoya (名古屋) that takes about an hour with a rapid. if you take locals by mistake i think i remember it being like about an extra 40mins on top of that. can't remember exactly. you can't miss it, btw the whole trip one way costs ¥3260 so unless you are planing on doing more travel than Osaka - Nagoya and return, i wouldn't bother with the seishun 18. |
thanks a lot

the platform for maibara, yasu is on #7,8,9 ( from Osaka )
7 - local 8 - mostly rapid 9 - special rapid - the fastest |
Take the Special Rapid Service bound for Maibara (米原) on the Kyoto (京都) & Biwako (琵琶湖) Line operated by JR West (西日本). It's a silver train.
![]() At Maibara there's a connecting service to Nagoya on the Tokaido Line operated by JR Central (東海). Go to Track 7 or 8. ![]() There's also a limited express called "Urban Liner" between Namba (難波) and Nagoya. 18 kippu is not applicable though. It's not JR but Kintetsu (近鉄). ![]() |
thank u everyone
