You can look into grants by doing a search online, possibly and hope for very good writing skills, since you have to write in hopes of being awarded grants.

I meant a grant as in a grant from a company to "sponsor" your trip.

I've never heard of a grant like what you're thinking about.

I am going through AFS and they have a really good program. I reccommend something more like that instead of what you are looking at. AFS has a long history, and it is really efficient and thourough. They have orientations and everything, and they help you figure out your credits for school. Just try to look for another program.

I was thinking along the lines of government grants for school.

Grants from companies are usually given on the grounds that you do something that will help their business, not because you wrote an essay.

Scholarships are where the essays come in.
