Places to see/visit in Kinki Region
 

Hi,
As you might know frmo a previous post of mine, i am going to be staying in Wakayama City for about 6 monts starting July 4th.

What places would you suggest in the Kinki reagion to go visit?

- Kyoto of course, can't miss that.
- Osaka, anyway on the way.
- ???

I will be taking lots of photos and movies with my cameras and will be posting them here with a full report.

I think you should visit Koya-san, Nara, Himeji, Takayama, and other such places if you want to see some of Japan's history. Shirahama beach, Nachi Falls, Lake Biwa, the Japan Alps, and the Wakayama coast have a lot of natural beauty. For food, Arida and Minabe are just south of Wakayama City and have mikan (oranges) and plums, while Momoyama-cho to the east has great peaches. Maybe head over to Shikoku as well!
