and i want to ask of something else to.... is there a village in japan were they still lives in the old way and dresses like that? (that is maybe impossible)

Hmm.. i am no expert in this area, but the "life" you are looking for probably doesn't exist anymore, a hidden mountain killer monk may exist, but the odd of finding one is slim

Oh just a suggestion, try cutting down on animate and manga, it will help.......

Don't believe everything in the movies :)

More like quit anime and mange cold turkey... right now! Although it may already be too late...

Henbaka 07-11-2008 02:13 PM

I wouldn't say quit. Just don't believe everything that happens in 'em to be facts..

According to Tom, who is now my best friend since he is the only caucasian samurai in the Edo period, that happened IN the Edo period....

Maybe ask John Titor since he is the only one that has a time machine....

You should visit the Hida Folk Village near Takayama. It is a traditional Japanese village that you can walk though, and they have some people who work there who do demonstrations and such.

Eiga Mura in Kyoto is like a B-class universal studios...ok C-class, but they focus on samurai movies, and everyone is wearing traditional clothes from that time.

And why would you do that when that deep forest super killer monk can teach you how to fly and walk through walls while he can offer you the life of Musashi Miyamoto?

now WHO the heck is talking about killer monk and samurais!? it's not because of the anime and manga!

I just asked if someone knew if there still were a place like that, and if u could train in the mountains, it has nothing to do with anime and manga so please stop writing '' well cut down on the anime that will help'' or something like that cause i didn't ment that... please

Try Konoha village in the fire land...
But seriously, you might want to join a temple or shrine as a monk and take on those duties. what you are looking for is long gone just like viking training for raping and pillaging (sp).

There ARE still places that train martial arts in the type of settings you imagine but these are all in south asia and are very, very intense.
