Tokyo Bars (including the famous Khaosan Bar23) - 01-29-2007, 09:16 PM

Hey everyone!
If you ever get the chance to stay in one of the Khaosan Tokyo Guest Houses, I reccomend it, theyre friendly, local, cheap, and the bar that they own (Khaosan Bar23) is absolutly fantastic! There is always such a friendly atmosphere, and the people who work there are amazing!

From what I hear, come february, Bar23 is having a 1 year anaversary, and moving into the ground floor of one of the guest houses, plus possably getting a small restraunt booth added.

Its a fantastic place, combined with the Guest house, I think of it as a 'Home away from home'

Also, bar Poko (in Roppongi, parallel with the bar gauntlet, just at the end (dont go to the heavily advertised bars there)) is a nice wee place, for a change of atmosphere.

Has anyone else been to either of these places?
Any more recomended drinking establishments?

I go to the bars to socialise and meet new people, and thats why I recomend Bar23 so highly, the great people there!
Plus you can get 3 drinks for 1,000yen which is the best price that iv ever found for decent drinks in a friendly local bar
