help for travel in japan
 
hi,,iam going to japan in april,and i have a few questions on getting around..
1-whats the best way to go tokyo to kyoto.
2-whats the best way to go osaka to kyoto
can i go on the bullet train?and what would the cost be?or other options?

1. The shinkansen. One way is probably 200 dollars and it takes about 2.5 hours.

2. JR Kyoto line from Osaka to Kyoto. I think it is about 12 dollars one way, but my memory could be failing me.

There are 2 ways to get from Kyoto-Osaka

1. Hankyu Line 390 yen
Hankyu Kawaramachi(Kyoto) Station <=> Hankyu Umeda ( Osaka )

2. JR Line 540 yen
JR Kyoto Station <=> JR Osaka Station
