which hotel to stay
I have found a few accommodations in tokyo and osaka, but don't know which to choose. Appreciate if anyone can give me comment and suggestion for the following options:-
In Tokyo:- 1) Hotel Park Inn Shinjuku 2) Hotel Rose Garden Shinjuku; 3) Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku; and 4) Asuka Hotel In Osaka:- 1) Toyoko Inn Osaka Nanba; 2) Osaka Fujiya Hotel; 3)Super Hotel Namba / Nipponbashi; and 4) Chisun Hotel Shinsaibashi I plan to stay in tokyo for a few days, then take night bus from tokyo to osaka. I will stay in osaka and make a few day trips to kyoto/kobe/nara from osaka. Based on my plan, which accommodation of the above is more suitable for me to stay in Tokyo and osaka? Thanks Regards, Jess |
Tokyo:
As far as location, I'd choose the Sunroute Plaza because it's right by the station. But for the quietest nights, I'd go with the Asuka as it's in the semi-residential area. You may not be able to sleep too well at the Rose Garden because it's on a main street with 24-hour heavy traffic (that is in case they put you in a room facing the street). The Park Inn is so far from the Shinjuku Station that you'd have to take the subway to get there. As for Osaka, Im afraid I'm not personally familiar with any of those 4 hotels. Whenever I go to Osaka, I make sure I get a hotel in Kobe since it's much quieter, more relaxing and less expensive there. |
Toyoko's are always a sure bet for me. They're small, but cheap.
Depends really on what you need. I live in Kansai, so I rarely get a hotel in Osaka. I just come home. |
If you dont mind hostels I'd recomend the Khaosan Tokyo ones (there are 3 of them). They're all pretty clean and quiet and not too far from train stations. Also they're pretty cheap and with the common rooms you get a chance to meet people from all over the world.
