Well in that case and without trying to break the bank.
I do know there are several models of Casio's and others that never made it to NA, haven't seen any myself but have seen didital ones here and there from $30 - $50 at various stores. I love the Tokyo Flash stuff but I'm sure I'd forget how to read it

From my price comparisons after I bought my watch 1 1/2 years ago, Japanese brands were far cheaper in Japan than in the US while imported brands were about the same in both places. I only did the comparison because I saw the same Seiko watch that I bought at DEODEO in Japan for ~9,000 yen in a US store for ~$200.

lil off topic, but i stayed in the house across from the owner of seiko in Shiro kane Dai.

G-Shock is made by Casio, but I have found they are cheaper in the US than in Japan.
