Stuck! -

I'm flying to Japan on Jun 15 for a concert, and was going to return
on the 28th. But since the plan change, and the final concert isn't on till July 4-5... I'm extending my stay. After going through auctions and won 2 tickets which cost me a major 800s dollars for it. I then found out that my flight that I booked through Hotwire, is actually a HOT RATE, and it can not be change even if the world's gonna end if it doesn't. I'm now darn stuck and don't have enough money to buy me a one way flight ticket. Anyone know if there's any place in Japan that's selling one way ticket that doesn't cost me a good 1000 dollars? Or any suggestion of what I should do now? Thanks in advance. |

Go to your travel insurance broker and claim for the lost money on the non-refundable tickets...
You did get travel insurance, right? |

You are stuck with the old tickets, like it or not. I don't know if they are transferable or not, if so you might be able to sell them to someone else.
For cheap tickets, you can try bidding on a ticket at Priceline.com You select your travel dates, and look at the options available, at the bottom of the page is an option to bid on tickets, I've often won with a bid that is half the normal price. You might as well bid on round-trip tickets, for whatever reason, they are almost always cheaper than a one-way ticket. Always use a travel/airline credit card (if you can get one) to buy tickets, one of their usual perks is cancellation insurance on airline tickets. |
