Tokyo 2 days

Osaka 2 days

Nara 1 day

Kyoto 1 day

That's a just rough guess. I would just spend the week in Tokyo myself.

To use the rail pass as much as possible you will be spending most of your seven days on a train. Is this what you want?

Have you already bought the pass? How much are you paying for it?

Seeing a lot doesn't necessarily mean having to ride on trains a lot. You can easily fill a day in Kyoto and Nara and never need to ride the train within the cities (just getting there). You'll just need comfortable shoes. You can see several things in a day in Tokyo, and only spend 10 dollars on the trains, if you plan correctly. If you spend a couple nights in Osaka, Kyoto and Nara are less than an hour away, and I think less than 15 dollars one way. Kobe is only about 5 dollars away.

I don't know how much the one week pass is, but the only major expense in Polar's plan is the bullet train from Tokyo to Osaka, which is about 150 dollars.

Last time I checked a JR Pass was roughly $400 USD for a week of green cars.

Unless there are more than two long shinkansen trips, then this will be a waste of money, more than likely.
