I would recommend Kiyomizu and Kinkakuji.
In the same day it may be much, but in Arashiyama is Monkey Mountain which is a good hike, but perfect in March or April (I have done it twice in August, and it was hell). Your daughter will enjoy seeing and feeding the monkeys much more than seeing too many temples. Another fun trip for kids and adults is taking the Torokko train up and coming back on the Hozugawa River Boat Ride. More about that here: Sightseeing in Kameoka - Kameoka City Web Site |

I'm sorry in poor English
Arrival is ... for 27 Is it from Tokyo for March 30? If it is so... I think Kyoto to be comfortable from Himeji, Himeji from Tokyo. You should go early if you go to Kinkaku-ji Temple after the check-in 姫路市|Multilingual Living Information Site about Himeji Kyoto Travel Guide <Official> http://www.city.kyoto.lg.jp/kotsu/cm...i_e_090401.pdf |

We will go to Himeji from Tokyo, then on to Kyoto in the afternoon. The next day, we will go to Kinkaku-ji very early, then make our way to Nishi-jin textile area. Still planning! Nicoletta |
