Goal: Japan Vacation Summer 2011
 

This post is going to serve as my motivational thread to travel to Japan. Why travel to Japan? Hmmm.... 'Cause I want to. I will find a date that will work, and post it here. Then, the idea is to set everything up throughout the course of the next year. I have never planned a solo trip before, so I may need some tips along the way. I'm sure you guys will help me out because people are cool on this site. Time to begin planning. Where should I begin? (thinking to myself)

By the way. How much can it cost all summed up? Summer vacation in Japan.

Me and my friend decided to travel troughout Japan next summer too..

The avarage costs vary from 2000-4000 for about 2-3 weeks?
Depends on how much you spend on what though.
Read other travel advice threads around here.
Also wikitravel and check the thread I made in here, a lot of people gave me some good advice too.
Just read, read and read. You'll learn alot and you'll get quite some good ideas.

But also think about, what are your interests in Japan?

Cars? Anime? Culture? The sphere of busy cities? Food?

Hey, thanks! I will definitely take your advice and do a lot of research.

The airfare alone is around 1400 dollars. This better be the best vacation of my life. I need to get a good job this year.

What do you guys think about hostels? It seems like a cheap way to get some shuteye.
