staying around lake Biwa, Kusatsu or Moriyama....suggestions

hey all,

i need to book two nights in a hotel around lake Biwa.
it need to be at either Kusatsu or Moriyama,

can anyone suggest which is the better place to stay?
ie: which is the bigger city and which will have better places to eat etc.
we will be fishing all day on lake biwa so we dont need sights etc, just a place to stay and eat at night.

any info appreciated,

yes i have a guide booked for two days,
he suggested kusatsu or moriyama as we will be starting near there

Who is the guide?
There is an interest.
The name of the guide to be able to speak English other than Mr.shimono.

I recommend Kusatsu.Kusatsu is nearer the lake Biwa than Moriyama.

Please Attention.There is another famous Kusatsu city in Japan.

If you ask someone in Japan how to get at Kusatsu city,Probably someone may tell you how to go to Kusatsu city in Gunma prefecture,Kanto area.The city is very famous for spa,onsen.It's wrong.

Therefore you had better say Kusatsu city IN SHIGA PREFECTURE,when you mention about Kusatsu city.
