Whisky tours in japan/near tokyo -
11-02-2011, 10:59 PM
Hi guys and gals,
Again i need to ask your advice. Im looking for a good whisky tour near Toyko and ive found a couple of places like karuizawa (but don't Know if they do tours) and a place near mount Fuji. Although the Fuji-Gotemba whisky distillery smells a little of silly tourist whisky that relies on its name rather than quality of product. On the other hand Karuizawa seems to be one of the older whisky distillery's in the region but when i've looked to see if they do tours ive found it very hard to find any information(which is partly to do with my very poor Japanese and Google chrome's inability to translate parts of the page lol. ) Does anyone have any good suggestions? (a little back story, i'm from Scotland and have visited around 10 different distillery's in Islay and main land Scotland and have a genuine but sometimes nieve taste for good whisky and would like to sample some of Japan's best, and experience the difference between the 2) thanks again Ichigohair |
