Bad reports aside, if you'll be visiting Japan as a tourist, then you'll be fine. Fine as being just another tourist. Unless you'll be there for a long haul, then you MIGHT be subjected to some form of scrutiny.
Foreigners, depends on whether you are a caucasian or not. Most caucasians are refered to as gaijin. Interestingly speaking, many asian skin people are not refered to as such. But whether you are, or aren't, if you are just visiting Japan for a short stay, then you don't have to be concern about all those bad reports on foreiners in Japan. Just be a tourist, act as a tourist, and you might just find your visit to be a pleasant one. Good luck. |

Some people find themselves to be great and act superior over others. In the end, they'll be subjected to the gaijin treatment. And then they post all things bad about Japan.
Well, 2 week stay is a short one. So you'll be fine. Do not brag and belittle others. Be humble and polite. When unsure, ask. When in awe, express that. Show courtesy and say complimentary remarks when the occasion arises. The point is: when in rome, do as the romans do. |

Well, I DO consider myself to be high and mighty, but I tend to be a very polite person nonetheless. So if that's all I have to worry about, I'll be SUPER. Thanks! ^_^
