Need info on good places to have fun...

Hi I'm traveling to Nagasaki this summer. I've never been there before and have no idea where the best places to eat, go shopping, sightsee, etc are. I've only been to Tokyo before so I want to try something different this time.

Can someone who has been to Nagasaki or lives there tell me does that places have nice beaches? Which neighborhoods in that town are considered rich and safe and which are the poor high crime neighborhoods I should avoid? Where can I find most of the shopping and supermarkets? I'm also looking for one of those cheap Japanese style inns there but I havent found any yet. Arigatou!
