1. Finish high school (with good grades)
2. Enroll in a university (not optional!)

It'll be many years from now.. but if you really want to move to Japan, that's the way you have to go.

#2. is not optional but recommended.
try gettin a job with out a 4 yr degree... that doesnt deal with teaching English

top 2 easiest ways to live in japan.

Teach english
be a student.

unless u got some really nice connections dont expect to get a sponsorship with out a 4 yr degree.

and also basic conversational Japanese.

i sent over 10 applications out to small companies. and accepted by few, but they do not offer sponsorships

and i have a 4 yr degree. but my Japanese isnt great.

so top of your list should be

Learn japanese
get into college

and we'll pick up from there later =P a visa isnt a easy thing to get.
Japanese Gov't is VERY strict on visas

I agree with this man here. Hardy, har, har.. In anycase, I'm going to learn (much more) Japanese, go to college to learn more Japanese.. Hah. And then, go to Japan for a year. Come back to America and teach Japanese. =/

if you cant wait for the conditions posted above. Try applying for a Monbusho Scholarship. If the Japanese govt feels that you are worthy in shory lucky :D you are going to be living in japan for at least 4-5 years as an undergrad student. If you plan to purpose life as a graduate student then it would be 1-2 years depending upon your field of study.
