Price?

I was wondering whether anyone could estimate a price on a few different holidays in Japan, including everything. I mean travel, hotels, spending money (because when I shop, I SHOP. But I'll probably only be limited to a few new outfits and sweets and alcohol (I like my drink *nods*), because of getting it all back in the suitcase), etc. And, if I go next year I'll be limited to the summer holidays with an extra week, because college starts later, but I'm free in year 2009... I have quite a large saving, too... so money won't be too hard to work towards, but I need to budget, so I can come home and go shopping the next day! (shopping = show off new clothes around town). Well that and so I have some money left over.
Also, it doesn't matter where I fly from in England.

Anyways, holiday number one:
  • Fly from England to Tokyo
  • Spend ten days in Tokyo
  • Fly from Tokyo to England

Holiday number two:
  • Fly from England to Tokyo
  • Spend five days in Tokyo
  • Travel to Kyoto on bullet train
  • Spend five days in Kyoto
  • Fly from Kyoto to England (OR travel back to Tokyo and fly from Tokyo to England)

Holiday number three:
  • Fly from England to Tokyo
  • Spend four days in Tokyo
  • Travel to Kyoto on bullet train
  • Spend six days in Kyoto, taking day trips to Osaka (if that's not too far away... I suck at locations and stuff... I mean I get lost in the city I've lived in all my life!)

Sorry this is quite long, but if anyone could offer alternatives as well, like fewer days, any good value hotels (I'm a school-trip-kid, so I don't mind if the hotel is a bit lame (takes me back... year 8, Germany, 1920s style hotel). I will be going with a friend, but could I get an estimate on the cost for just one person. I know it might be hard to estimate, because of a lot of things need to be taken into consideration.
Thanks for your time =)

Ohh I'm interested in knowing this too :D

Flights to Tokyo are between 450-600 euros/USD, that's about the cheapest you'll find.

Cheap flights to Tokyo from London Area

Are there any Youth Hostels in Japan...? xD

Thanks for the link... I just need to make and eat dinner (yeah, I eat early... got some noodles to send to a firey death now, lol... never cooked noodles before... but how hard can it be? lol), anyways, and then I'll take a look at the link =)

EDIT: I have looked and that is a really useful site! Thanks =D

It is going to be cheaper to fly out of the same airport you fly into, I hear, but don't only go to Tokyo.

Ah, good point, maybe I should get one of those rail passes (which I'll have to look into), do option two, but got back to Tokyo to fly out.
Thanks, it's so much easier when you get other people's advice/opinions... My mom doesn't really care so I might as well be talking to a brick wall when I talk to her. Lol.

If you want to do as much travelling as you say, a rail-pass is a good route.

Tokyo is great, but hit Kyoto-Osaka-Kobe-Nara if you can. (they are all close to each other, and have totally different feels).

google probably can - there are loads of hotels over here so you can find hotels in specific locations to book easily once you have decided on your plan of action
