Japan's National Art Center opens in Tokyo
The new National Art Center, Tokyo, with the largest exhibition space in Japan, opened Sunday in the Roppongi district. It becomes the first national art institution to be created in Japan in 30 years.
For its first exhibition, running until March 19, the National Art Center is introducing diverse forms of 20th century art under the title, "Living in the Material World -- 'Things' in Art of the 20th Century and Beyond."
