Hello guys and girls,
since quite a while now I'm searching for a book about japanese architectural drawings. I'm a german architecture student and I see alot of these drawings while studying. Architects like SANAA, Kazuyo Sejima, Ryue Nishizawa, Junya Ishigami, Hideyuki Nakayama, and many more ... are using this technique Here are some examples: Junya Ishigami: 01 02 Hideyuki Nakayama: 01 Kazuyo Sejima: 01 02 03 04 Akihisa Hirata: 01 It seems, that this way of very light pencil drawings/sketches (maybe also a bit infantile) are very common in japan - and maybe there is a book about these drawings. I can't read kanji so research in this area is a bit difficult. I already bought a book from Junya Ishigami Another Scale Of Architecture but I'm more interested in the style in general rathan than have a book about a single architect. maybe some of you could help me Best, Sophie |

thank you masaegu for your quick answer!!
I'll try to find something with your key words. the examples you mentioned aren't really what I'm looking for, because they're all about sketches from architects in general not specifically japanese. This could be something I'm looking for, I'll have to check it in my local library. But nevertheless it is a magazin and there has to exist a specialised book, about the japanese style. Sophie |
