There is glass blowing in Japan, I know of at least one factory although I can't recall exactly where it is. I've seen lamp-work here and there and around, but I'm not sure where the glassblowers hang out, if you know what I mean. They had glass in the edo period I think which might be where some of the different techniques stem from.
If it helps the Japanese word for glass blowing is 吹きガラス so you could search using that. Lampworking is バーナーワーク, lit. 'burner work'.
