Young Japanese women are walking the streets in highly revealing styles, from bare-back dresses and tube tops to low-rise hot pants and super-mini skirts. The tendency to expose the skin is further escalating with the emergence of mise bura ("revealing bras") and mise pan ("revealing panties"). I have definitely noticed more skin this year in the fashion in Shibuya. The skirts are even smaller and, surprisingly, cleavage seems to be in right now. In the past, I was told that cleavage was not popular as a fashion in Japan like it is in the west. This summer, there were cleavage revealing fashions all over Shibuya.

Yes, they are showing a good deal more than they used to...no complaints though. lol

maybe the Japanese want to catch up with other developed countries.we can consider this as fashion.

I didn't notice anything bad with those pictures. At least not half as bad as most girls clothes here in America nowadays anyway. I think those clothes (esp. the ones in the first image) are cute!

well, theres really nothing wrong with what they're wearing. well, from a cnadian (toronto) perspective of whats here on the streets..).
but its all about perspective, ne? but fashion wise, i like the 1st one. ^^ it looks nice/cute. |
