Harajuku

does anyone dress harajuku.(i need to know)

Nyororin 12-20-2007 05:17 AM

I certainly don`t. No wait, maybe I do, as I spent the weekend in Tokyo, and half that time in Harajuku... And I saw only THREE people who were dressed anything other than totally normal (as I was)... And 2 in Shinjuku. EVERYONE else was dressed in completely average fashion, just like me.

Isn't Harajuku just the name of the place?

I dress like a wierd american harajuku. (Tutus, lace umbrellas, purses with clocks in them, super fly tights, that sort of thing.) I'm hoping to go to the district myself in 09'.

It's pretty pricey if you want to go all out and dress like that all the time. I want to visit Harajuku one day and run around in circles. Also, I heard there are a lot of splendid shops selling Lolita/Visual Kei fashion there, too.

I've seen many people dress in Decora, but that's a lot more casual than the Visual Kei fashion. I tend to stick to Lolita. I just love walking around like a little doll, it's adorable. Once a group of Lolita friends and I were walking around and people thought we were a part of some circus/show that they were featuring later on in the theatre. It was quite funny.

I've never been into the "Goth" fashion, either. Visual Kei circles around that more than anything else. Iunno, the only type of Gothic fashion I'd go into is probably that of Peggy, from The Candy Spooky Theatre. Now his wardrobe's adorable.

I guess one could say I dress Harajuku.

Like this...

...or this ~ !

...if that's what you mean ~ !

I like the Lolita style the best, but I also really like decora and punk. I'm not a huge fan of Visual Kei, and I do like ganguro (although, that's not from Harajuku, but from Shinjuku and they're aren't as many as there used to be), but I don't think I'd wear it well ~ !
