Hmm, you can too cosplay as a lolita, or that's at least the impression I've got. To my knowlede is that to Japanese people cosplay can be anything, it's just "Comstume play" but western people have made it more pure that you should only be specific characters :P But lolita can be a everyday clothingstyle of course and it DOES NOT have to be as expensive as you're putting it :P I have this beautiful friend who used to dress in very extravagant lolita clothes and she made everything herself, of bought certain things at stores but never anything as expensive as youre saying...
