....did Australia go through the victorian era? if not then that's a reason why. Australia is somewhat isolated from a few cultures so...that kind of makes it difficult for anyone to want to express something different. (some of this could be affected by movies from years ago and folks believed the movie till this day and will continue to think down on it)

if not the above then all that is left for me to say that most of those people are stubborn and stuck up and wouldn't give a damn of anything different.

well that's great! england is like the old home of victorian clothing and japan being the home of lolita makes it even better for you. i'm from north america but i don't get to travel alot. japan and england are some of the major places i want to go to.
