Hair Style for thin asian hair

1 Attachment(s)
Hi guys

I have a problem and that is my thin asian hair.
A lot of asian guys who style their hair have thick hair that lets them flair it.
I can't style it because of how thin it is.

Is there a solution to this?
So is the problem my hair or am I just styling it wrong?
Please let me know.

this is a picture of my hair.

Try teasing.
Have you tried straightening? then apply styling products?

Hair looks pretty straight already.

Use hair gel or hair spray. It works most of the time. :)

If you can find a Tony&Guy hairdressers near you or can access their website they sell something called 'Label. M Ressurection Style Dust', which is incredible stuff. It's basically a kind of light powder which works like a mesh styling wax almost but doesn't weigh your hair down and gives lots of volume. If you have a layer cut, you could easily use it to create flair.

Teasing is when u "back comb" your hair. Example: grab some of your hair in a certain area of your head. Then take a comb and start from the bottom/roots and comb it downwards, then gradually start a little higher. This will help your hair stand up well and it'll give it a more volume look. (Search "teasing hair" on youtube and you can find out how to tease your hair). [Hairspray is also needed. Applied to the amount of hair you grab and before you start teasing it]

If teassing your hair doesn't work...try using a flat iron straightener and straightening your hair which will make your hair feel lighter and smoother, thus it'll be easier to using a styling product to hold your hair however you want. [Tip: for spikes; easier to spike up/keep your hair up if you use a straighten the hair for spikes in a upward position]

-- I've had this same kind of problem when I first tried to style my hair(I'm Asian as well). But...when I got a straightener it helped a lot! --
