I've been eating a lot of regular udon lately, its becoming the only thing I like to eat now.

Usually a variety Japanese, Korean and other dishes in the same meal works for me, but last night was not "fusion" at all. Last night I discovered that seaweed salad should never be on the same table with kimchi - at least not my table. The flavors seem to violently opposed each other, rather than compliment. Even the neutrality of baked fish could not make peace between them.

I usually have roasted seaweed (gim) with kimchi, but since the seaweed salad was in the fredge I grabbed it. The contrast in flavors made the seaweed salad seem horribly sweet - almost syrupy. And in turn the kimchi tasted bitter and what I can only describe as "dead". I have since tasted each from the same batch quite separately and both are good - without the other in the same meal.

The only person I know who can resist shrimp tempura is someone who is deathly allergic to shrimp. Next you should try the heads deep fried. MUCH better than it sounds.

Well Today I had some Shoyu Ramen..This nice little shop downtown makes some of the best Ramen you can find around here, and the cook is this old grumpy Japanese man, who is constantly yelling at people. Makes for an amazing experience.

A couple of days ago I has some amazing Tempura Udon.
There is a nice Japanese restaurant In the next city and I'm friends with the owner. He's a real nice guy and gives me a discount anytime I go.

Last week I had some lovely sushi.
Raw: Tora, Tai, Ama Ebi.
Rolled: Tekka Maki, Futo Maki.
Cooked: Ebi, Tako, Sake, Kani.

The sushi bar I ate at is a pretty chill place.
Everyone's relaxed, They're always playing old Samurai movies.
(black and white old)
And the people who work there are incredibly nice.
Plus if you order more that ten different types of sushi your drink is free.
Gotta love Sakamoto-san.(chef)
Plus his daughter is REALLY beautiful. So that's a major plus in my book.
