Hey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know of a way to import from japan??? Like onigiri, rice (I only find med or long grain here, no short grain), and umboshi?????? And anything else too!!!!????

if you have a military id and a military base near you, you can easily find short grain rice. My friends mom makes onigiri all the time...though i think she gets the rice from wal mart...

my best guess would be google (if you have time) or check a phonebook and see if you have any japanese markets around. I've got one like half an hour from my house, and they have practically everything (ramune = happiness).

I found a couple of foodmarts but I haven't found eveything in one store sadly

Importing food products can be a hassle depending on where you are. What part of the world are you in? There are more and more mainstream grocery stores carrying things like umeboshi and waht they consider specialty rices like short grain.

Go to Mitsuwa.com They sell Japanese groceries and cooking ingredients in America, and they ship anywhere.
