The best way for me to learn Japanese cooking is from Japanese friends. It's free and I was able to learn a lot from them, but... I have also tried on my own with the guide of a Japanese recipe book. So honestly, I don't think it's so important to take a Japanese cooking course, especially if it's so expensive. Best way is to ask your Japanese friends or get a Japanese recipe book. It's very easy!

Yes I would invest in the friends and the cook book. I have an asian cook book that has a few Japanese recipes in it.
When you search on google though you get VERY traditional recipes. But the only problem for me at least is that I don't have an asian market. So getting some of the ingridents is difficult. -.- |
