but then i get fed up & i throw it all in the boiling water. But to despair was to wish back for something already lost. Or to prolong what was already unbearable. |

I don't blame you in your hate for instant ramen noodles. I was spoiled I suppose, by my father, and was lucky enough to try a better brand before every trying to the 10 cents a pack (or well five cents a pack on the Air Force base), and got a slightly more expensive bran. I won't say they're all that much better but I will always pick they Kamchi Bowl Noodles over them.
I recently had to try and find a new brand, however, because they don't sell these instant noodles near my college and I still refuse to settle for the others. So, I picked up a different brand of instant noodles by Maruchan called "Yakisoba," and I've enjoyed these so far. They are not as strong in flavored as the Kamchi Bowl but still pretty decent. I think they may actually cost more, too, which is a shame since they aren't as good but I can buy mine at 3 for $3.00, while I think the Kimchi Bowls were like 67 cents. |

I think, the problem with ramen is that it allready spread around the entire world. So it allready kinda represents japanese eating habbits.
That is wrong! If you really want to try the real taste you have to eat them in a good restaurant. Although instant-ramen can be really tasty it is nothing compared to the real stuff you get in a good restaurant. |

Go to a Ramen stand in Japan and try authentic ramen-- it's silly to judge Ramen as a whole just because you only have access to freeze-dried, packaged MSG.
AUTHENTIC RAMEN V.S. TOP RAMEN But to stick up for Maruchan, add only half of the seasoning and it's not half bad... add some cabbage and cooked vegetables, maybe an egg. Whatever floats your noodle-loving boat |
