The horse I had was delicious. It was raw, and tasted similar to other red meats. When I told people I ate horse they all seemed to be disgusted with me, but I told them stuff very similar to what your saying. Its meat, its edible, some people eat all kinds of meat we would find gross. Just got to think of it as any other meat and go for it, you may be surprised.

Dogs are food & pets outside of the West. I ate dog meat and it tasted way better than chicken, actually.

Gotta be Pacha (Boiled sheep head), Balut (Duck fetus, jeez...) and Carsu Marzu. (Worst kind of cheese who is forbidden in some regions)
