Thats odd you cant find it any of the International markets near you. Here is where i order my tea from they have very fast shipping and their tea is very good. They have the matcha tea which is what i assume is what you were are asking for.

the japanese powdered green tea, it's usually served with many meals, and it's very gritty. There is a difference. green tea is from china, but many chinese customs were adapted a long time ago in japan.

- Powdered Green Tea is called お抹茶 in Japanese and it belongs to the Japanese Green Tea family. There is no equiv. in China.

- Green Tea is called 緑茶 and there is a difference between Chinese Green Tea and Japanese Green Tea, both in the type of tea leaves, how they are grown and the way they are processed. Japanese green tea are steamed and the Chinese variety is fried (not deep fried, 炒める, there is no English equiv. in this case).

You can buy it at specialist tea shops, looks in your business directory. Lucipia is also a place where you can get quality tea imported from China, Japan and any where else tea grows.

LUPICIA Fresh Tea - Fine quality gourmet loose leaf tea imported from Japan!
