What is the best, most healthy type of vegetarian sushi?

Hi everyone! I'm a vegetarian but I want to try sushi because a lot of my friends like sushi and I want to be able to go out to lunch with them when they are in the mood for sushi. I've tried a couple of different vegetable tempura sushis (yam, for example) but I've recently heard tempura sushi rolls are the most fattening/high calorie. What sushi would you recommend for a vegetarian who wants to watch her calorie intake but likes the taste of vegetable tempura?

Thank you!

IF you like it and can find it in the U.S., natto would be an excellent choice. Extremely high in Niacin among other vitamins (the source of the taste & smell many dislike). I tend to combine in a hand roll with rice, umeboshi (plum) paste, and whatever other veggies are available.

Tokyo is one of the biggest cities in the world, it has just about every type of cuisine you could think of...

sushi isn't always vegan >.>'''
some itamae like to use katsuo in their shari-su....
katsuo being fish shavings.. and shari-su being the rice vinegar
it adds a depth of flavour to the final product
but because of that addition... not all sushi is vegan ._.''
