Sukiya, Matsuya, Yoshinoya?
 

Which do you prefer? I go with Matsuya. There's a Matsuya and a Sukiya right next to each other at Tamachi station (My closest JR) and many of my friends go to Sukiya because I think it's in a more prime location, but I think they underestimate the greatness that is Matsuya.

For regular gyuudon, Yoshinoya. For specialty, Sukiya.
I have only had Matsuya once, and it was awful.:mtongue: Not to mention the balance of meat to rice was skewed, so most of the rice didn't even get any flavor at all.

I actually get that a lot. I mean, not people going so far as to say it's awful :D , but just that it's generally less preferred than the others. I don't know why I like it so much when most people I talk to don't like it.

I feel too much like a sah-rah-ri-mon whenever I go to one of these places. I live within walking distance of Tokyo Station, and the beef bowl restaurants are usually busy until quite late. A Yoshinoya restaurant along my walk is always playing a musical jingle which ends with ...gohan o tabeyoooo!

Thank God there is a Burger King not too far away, sen yen for a Double Whopper set is expensive, but it is heaven on a bun, and I am tired rice.

for gyudon, I still like Yoshinoya. If there is no other choice , then I go to Matsuya.

I think i've only tried Sukiya , once or twice and I don't remember if I liked or not.

Well the poll is which do you prefer, if you've had it. "Not having it" as an option is superfluous data.

Yoshinoya but a friend claims Nakau is best.

Oh I forgot about this one. Their Karage is really good :) and cheaper than yoshinoya :)

Sukiya is second, it loses big for serving that disgusting old tea stuff instead of water.
