when I stayed in Ryogoku the breakfast at the hotel had noodles and rice... but then it had lots of chips and mini sausages too... :S

Rice and fish doesn't sound so good for breakfast... lol. Now I'm going to go down and buy dead pigs and dead cows to feast upon.

You know, you can have a 'Japanese breakfast' without actually going to Japan... those items you listed are easily found in foreign countries. Just check the nearest Asian supermarket (Great Wall Market, Hong Kong Supermarket, along those lines) in your area. They're easier to find if you live in a city.

For me, just miso soup and green tea is enough for breakfast. Sometimes I just have one of those vitasoy soydrink boxes when I feel like something sweet.
