Depending on where you live, you could search online for advertisements for japanese tutoring.
What did you find at the schools and colleges? If there are actually japanese teachers there, you could ask if they could recommend you to a tutor or institute. That's how one of my friends got access to private tutoring for Japanese too. Not sure if that info was any help though. >o<; |

u try your school and all of the local colleges and universities.. and none of them offer japanese courses?.. O_o learn online (listen to music file and attempt to repeat it yourself, try to get familiar to the japanese sound before starting would be easier.. at least that what i think..) or buy a book with CDs or tapes and start from there

And there's no chance that you can take Japanese classes as a subject at your high school?
It's a pity that you can't attend the university Japanese classes, but it might still be possible. Where I live, there are some exceptions where year 12 students can take one university course whilst still in high school. My sister completed a university subject in maths when she was still in year 12, so it's possible that your school could allow you to do the same. >.>; Quite frankly, I really don't know what you could do if it has to be an official institute and you can't get the courses. .__. |

As for on-line courses, I'd give yesjapan.com a try. Every word and phrase has a sound file, they have ask-a-teacher if you get stuck, lots of videos teaching you fun aspects of the language, and you can even schedule a live chat session to try out what you've learned. It's a dirt cheap $14.95 a month. If you'd like more services, they also have slightly higher priced plans. And no, I'm not associated with them!!! I just learned from them when they were first getting started, and it's even better now. Good luck!!

thank you all for your help! >.<
I'll see if i can find an organization that doesn't have so many requirements i think. I found a person who can teach me Japanese but she's a tutor so would be usable in my current situation. if anyone knows any other programs i could take, could you please suggest them to me? Claims:
