I'm still playing around with it, but I can tell you already that the text editor and Character dictionaries alone are well worth the download. Did I happen to mention that this also works for Chinese? No shit! |

You have to play around with it a bit before you can really utilize it effectively, I've found after a couple days with it.
I just finished quizzing myself on my vocabulary from class, then printed out a list off all the words that I couldn't remember/didn't know--and only those ones. The other night I was able to transliterate the lyrics of a Japanese song from Romaji to normal Japanese writing complete with Kanji--and more or less accurately XP ! A very nice program, very helpful. |
Yes, It's very effective! But can you translate English words to Japanese Romanji?

I'm giving it a try now. No other Japanese learning tools have been helpful for me so far, but hopefully this will.
