Online Courses & Translators -
02-13-2008, 05:18 PM
I have been studying Japanese on and off for a few years now. Mostly from books and people I know who speak Japanese, but I was looking for an online course that could give me a more structure classroom like direction to my learning. I tried Rosetta Stone but I am not a big fan of the program. I was looking for something that had the same style as an online College or University. The problem I am having with books and other programs is that they jump around too much. I may learn something more advanced and then when I think that I have it understood, I find out that I missed a major aspect. I think that an online course would be better learning structure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I also wanted to know what would be the best electronic translator (dictionary). I have a cheap one but when I was in Japan I saw that they have great translators. I was wondering what are some of the best translators out there and what some people thought of the Franklin TGA-490. It Looks great. 12-language (((Speaking))) Global Translator Handheld - Franklin Electronic Publishers or the ECTACO iTRAVL NTL-2J http://www.ectaco.co.uk/ECTACO-NTL-2J/ |
