Typically, "save" and "load" are expressed as follows and aren't in kanji..

Save - セーブ (se~bu)
Load - ロード (ro~do)

I've noticed that other words/phrases are sometimes used instead of save and load.

Here are some that can mean "save"
レポート - report (saw this in pokemon)
記録 / きろく / レコード - record

...and some that can mean "load"
コンティニュー / つづける / つづく / 続く - continue

Does this help?

On Windows machines ...

Save is 保存 (hozon) and open (i.e. load) is 開く(hiraku)

削除 (sakujyo) is delete, which unfortunately I learnt the hard way!

Be genki,

Richard

In games I've seen it as セーブする・ロードする 開く would be open a file but he's talking about loading saved games files i think.
