(yes i wrote this script by myself)

ty! ty ty ty! here it is, oh and please feel free to translate half then go back on it the next day or something, or at least translate the easiest or shortest lines if you want. and uhh, if you dont know how to translate a word in one of the lines just do the best you can, i don't need 100% correct romaji but i need the best of it you can offer!

Quote:

1) Ooshiro Chiisu
2) 17 years old.
3) After being forcefully sent to earth,
4) he has bet on his life that he will come back for his love, Athena.
5) In the other world, he had a family of five people.
6) His mother Ibaraki Suzune.
7) His father Ooshiro Kado.
8) His younger sister Ooshiro Tomoko.
9) His older brother Ooshiro Taro.
10) And his younger brother Ooshiro Mikio.
11) He had a lover that he would never leave...
12) After their village was invaded by their neighbor, "White Village",
13) Everyone in the family was split apart after there was an arguement from
his father and mother.
14) The younger sister Tomoko was surrounded in flames and disappeared
after the invasion.
15) The mother, Suzune died protecting the youngest child in the family.
16) The youngest child was kidnapped by the White Village.
17) The father escaped with his son Taro and used a forbidden technique
to safely, send Chiisu to a place called Earth.
18) Chiisu's father had no hope to support him because Chiisu was a huge failure.
19) and would not see him live in a world where war and violence is neverending.
20) Ooshiro Chiisu.
21) It has been 4 years.
22) his deepest mission, is to come back to his world for those that loved him.
23) and to unify with Athena once again.

yes there is more story to all of this, but this is just a door and a road to the bigger part, but this commences it all.
if something doesn't make sense you can tell me and ill change it i guess.. like the names or something. (those names i have chosen have meanings to it as well and goes in the story later on, lol told ya there will be story to all of this but this is just the beginning) ty again!

and btw, this whole script goes in order. just pretend its some guy telling a story or something.

..... come on.. at least translate the easiest lines or something ;[

MMM 05-31-2008 05:10 PM

It's easier to translate into Japanese than into romaji

2) jyuu-nana-sai desu.

Thx man, any other help? anyone...

Dude,
Hard to translate without context. It's an implicit rather than explicit (i.e. English) language; nuance and context is everything. One of the Japanese speakers could provide an adequate literal translation and another could offer a very different translation. and yet, funny enough, both might not make sense for your intended message.
Japanese grammer is simple. It's the nuance and psychology that presents difficulties.
Not chastising, just offering a bit of info. I'm looking at these and thinking, wow, I could say each of these in a variety of ways, yet it seems that the context is very formal (and possibly archaic?). Need a dictionary for that.

LuCas23332 06-03-2008 12:45 AM

Hmm .. not sure what to give as context but i can explain it more if thats what you want.
this is all a narrator telling this:

Quote:

3) this line means "after chiisu was sent to earth from their own world by a technique from his father"
4) this line means "he has promised to himself he will come back to athena"
5) well yeah... this is the world that chiisu was in but then his dad sent him to earth by using a technique.
Line 6) to 10) is just saying the names of the people in chiisu's the family.
11) this lover is Athena but yeah this one's self explanatory..
12) in the other world, chiisu and his family lived in a village and they were invaded by another village called "White Village"
14) this one's a secret... =P but uhh the best i can say is that the sister was just all of a sudden surrounded in fire by herself and disappeared.
15) the mother tried to protect the youngest child in the family (Mikio) but then the enemy from White Village killed her because she tried to resist (fight back).
16) the youngest child which is Mikio was captured as prisoner.
17) chiisu's father, escaped with the oldest son in the family (Taro) and his father used that technique (the one I talked about in line #3) to send chiisu to earth.
18) chiisu was a failure and his father knew he would die in a world where there is war all the time.
20) this part is just saying his name, now this is when the narrator is starting to be speaking of the present
23) he wants to come back to athena and live the rest of his life with her.

I hope that helped, i spent some time doing this plz plz plz respect what i did and finish all the lines ill be greatly pleased, appreciate it, and iono, i'd do a big time favor for all of ya whatever it will be

edit: oh yeah, do the translations in a way like the very first ep. of naruto they started it off with some guy talking about 12 years ago when the 9-tailed fox attacked the village and then they started the real episode. where the guy sounded like strict or something lol iono

come on........ this is really important . is everyone just lazy and dont wanna help or are they actually doing it and it takes over a day or something?

Nathan 06-05-2008 12:04 AM

I'm not going to lie to you, narrating it story-like as you want it is a very big task. The few people on the forums that could do it are most likely a) busy or b) don't visit the forums often.

Keep in mind this isn't a professional translation site.

MMM 06-05-2008 12:07 AM

I'm not lazy, what you are asking is a lot of work for no compensation.

There is that as well.

Another side note: If you ask multiple people to do this translation, and you want it to be a narrative, its not going to end up making sense as the style will switch a lot.
Ever play the game where you made a story and each sentence was created by a different person? Same principle applies. Its not going to come out well.
