theres alot of learn japanese stuff on the net. ive already found alot by just searching... the best resource ive found is a video series and workbook called Let's learn japanese basic
it seems like a good place to get basic skill :vsign:

Unless of course, someone's powerlevel does, in fact, happen to be over 9000.

Shows, I'd imagine, would be good to brush up on skills you've already learned, once you've gotten a good portion of the language down. But that's as far as a show might take ya'.

Yeah, I found learning Kana and Kanji first is easier, because sometimes learning Japanese from a book or CD, it will be in that form and not rōmaji.

It's a little pricey, but I've heard Rossetta Stone is a great way to learn a language. I don't know from experience, but the website offers an online tutorial.

Learning Japanese will take time, partially because the writing system is completely different, and also because it's hard work! : D

I'm also thinking of learning a bit of Japanese (basics for start then we'll see).
Anyone knows of any good free tutorials, web sites that would help me get started?

ive got rossetta stone: havent used it much yet but, the interface feels kinda "low budget" but it seems pretty good
