Hello everyone!

I always wanted to learn japanese, but i never done anything about it!
Recently i started to study it by myself and i must say its hard but when i see i'm improving its very gratifying.

But i need some help, sometimes i can continue studing because i have some doubts.

So i looking for someone who know japanese or is learning to help me.

Well, the best thing to do is to learn kana or kanji first, so if you can find a textbook/workbook and learn how to write japanese, it'll be a lot easier to work with someone because usually people don't like to write with the whole "arigoto gozaimasu", but if you're only learning to speak it and the person/people you find to help you are cool with typing it out like that, then I guess you're solid for that bit. You can also look stuff up on youtube, i actually learned a lot from one of the "Learn Japanese" videos. (Btw, im just providing other useful tips; i think talking to someone who speaks the language and can help you is a great idea.) ^^ good luck with your learning.

I'd recommend the Berlitz Language Learning Software. A package I got was for Japanese/Mandarin Chinese. It's a good way to learn how to speak it (doesn't teach you how to write it).

An interesting thing about the program is that whilst you're learning vocabulary and putting them into sentences, the software doesn't teach you about grammer at all; instead you learn it by practicing the sentences and seeing where everything goes in what order. Rather cool way to learn something without actually being explicitly tought.

If you're going by subs then you're screwed. TV shows are really the worst way to learn a language. Too much slang, improper usage, etc.

Hey! Im also learning Japanese!! I bought a workbook from Yesjapan.com . Its call Japanese from Zero! 1 and its pretty sweet. The only thing i wash it had were more exercises, to practice what you've learnt. Does anyone know of any good Exercise books?
