Need help with sentence/phrase?
So I'm working on a song thats mostly in japanese, and I'm having trouble translating a line into japanese!:
"Wish you were here" on my own attempt I've come up with: "anata wa koko ni nozomi" someone else came up with "anata wa koko ni imasu youni," but they are unsure if they are correct themselves. Is there a common japanese phrase used for "I wish you were here" or can someone help clarify this and help translate for me? thank you! |
aitai
that's probably the most common type of thing for saying i miss you i wish you were here etc.... |
thank you so much!
so I should be able to write something like "anata wa koko ni aitai" for sake of syllables for song? Particles get the best of me so please correct them if they are wrong =D |

Just in case you wanted it in romaji "Anata ga koko ni ite hoshii" |
Why say いてほしい and not いたい? I mean, I know they are both grammatically ok, but is there a difference in the phrase you made?

あなたがここにいてほしい - I want you to be here/ I wish you were here あなたがここにいたい - You want to be here. |
