haha no =P.. all possible characters.. ( i don't know if they've got q,x etc. in their alphabet. ).

so a-z only in japanese.

no i've already seen thing like that on the internet.

just wanted to know if there actually exists something like a japanese alphabet with all characters apart,

so a japanese sign for a, a japanese sign for b, a japanese sign for c etc.

Such a thing does not exist. End of story

That's why foreign names and words like Thomas don't translate well into Japanese, and you have to try and find a combination of syllables that approximates the original sound, rather than spelling it out completely.

The Japanese writing system isn't an "alphabet" because Japanese doesn't use "A, B, C, D..."

Btw, is this site good for learnin' basic Japanese ? or is there another site you could recommend ?
