Im not arguing, I meerly commented that basic kanji suits my leaning style and since I am for fluencey learing the readings of kanji as I go along is benefical and relevant to my interests.

I`m not intending to be arguing either - simply stating the reasons why *I* would never recommend the book.
Clearly it works in some capacity for some people, or else it wouldn`t still be around after all these years. I just personally do not think it is the best option.

If you want the thread closed though - sure. I can do that.
