Just wondering...

Does anyone have recommendations for a Kanji jiten for an iPhone? Or any other useful iPhone apps for learning Japanese?

Here are some of the apps I use...

-Japanese
-Kanji Flip
-Kotoba
-kana flip
-japanese flip
They are all very good and worth the money.

Doug,

Thanks for the reply. I just purchased Kanji flip which is awesome!

I'm also looking at "Japanese" and it looks pretty useful as well.

And to think that I blew $300 on a kanji-jiten with OCR pad last November.

Just chalk it up to sunk costs?

Fortunately, there is one woman in this world who can control me.

Unfortunately for you, she is not here.

I just downloaded "Japanese" and it's pretty awesome as well but I realized that I should keep my kanji jiten for now.

There's no way I can input a 12+ stroke kanji into an area the size of a postage stamp with my forefinger!

Did you try turning on the Chinese writing keyboard on your iPhone (it's an option in the languages section)? You can enter Chinese kanji that way too. I don't know why they don't have a Japanese writing keyboard so you can write all of the Japanese kanji.
