Sure did, listening to the radio as we speak! Or type? lol also I'm looking at the Hiragana chart (putting them on flashcards atm) and the second to the last, is pronounce (w)o, why is the "w" in parentheses?

Because most native Japanese pronounce を like "oh" and not "woah"

So they put the w in parenthesis.:vsign:

So when actually speaking it is the equivalent of..ok i can't get my Japanese keyboard to work right now but it's the equivalent of "o"? like in the beginning of the chart?

Thanks! And for the audio I'm actually looking for something that is strictly Japanese without any translation if yall know where to find something like that

now you got me thinking. i found this one audio clip on limewire about 45 min with nothing but japanese conversations. if you get limewire type in learning japanese and i think you might find it.

but you could also watch japanese tv shows like Shin Domoto Kyoudai, Shojiki Shindoi . if you go to Veoh.com they have them uploaded their.

A good site for audio is Japanese Pod 101. They used to be for free download, but I'm pretty sure things have changed around now. Worth a look though. They have a Japanese speaker and an English speaker and they just translate between the two and explain sentence structure and stuff.

Oh and Kana charts:

Hiragana and Katakana Practice - Real Kana

[It allows you to practice them aswell, but you can just reference them as normal on there.]

No idea about Vista, I have XP.

I just noticed this, but the Hiragana on that site as a bit more to it than this chart, http://www.japanorama.com/images/hiragana.gif that someone else told me to use? I'm confused as to what to use?

Yes, there is more Hiragana than the link that you just gave me. The link you showed me is only the basic Hiragana, but you will need to know them all in order to write properly.

For example,

If you want to say, 'Good Morning,' which is 'Ohayou Gozaimasu,' it is 'おはようございます。'

As you can see, you need to use the Hiragana and Katakana Practice - Real Kana table to be able to know what 'Go' (ご)and 'Za' (ざ) is.

Also, to say things like 'Today,' which is 'Kyou,' you have to put 'きょう.'

As you can see, Ki (き) is combined with a small version of Yo (ょ) to make 'Kyo.'

You need to know this in order to write everything you need to, so I strongly advise you learn everything on the table I gave you.

I hope that wasn't too complicated!

Also, romaji is not an accurate representation of what you should right in kana. You often see 'Arigato' in romaji, but the actual spelling is 'ありがとう。

It has an extra 'U' (う) sound on the end. So make sure you start learning and reading kana as soon as possible to avoid mistakes with translating from romaji.

Hope that helps :)
