Ganbaru...I think it can be translated as "persist, hang in there...". It is a motivational invitation.
EDIT: Sorry, I meant ganbaru is the base of the verb. The one written there is ganbatte, the "command" (that form, depending how used, might asume different tone apart from command) tense |

Sorry, I threw myself into a twisted path without actually the need to do it.
That word is read: GANBATTE and it means "hang in there, keep up, persist". Just forget all the other stuff I said ;) |
chryuop is correct. Good translations for 頑張って are "Hang in there!" or "Good luck!"
